Practising continuity 1

To start I used the Illamasqua primer to make the base quite shiny and radiant as bruises are quite shiny to start with. Then I got a small amount of yellow on the back of my hand then using a foundation brush I patted it onto my jaw line and blended it out with my hand to ensure it wasn't as prominent as it was initially. Then I started by adding some red to make the area more of a pink colour as my base for all of the other colours I am going to be using. Then add more red in patches to show irritation and tender parts. However looking at it at this stage I felt the red was too bright so added some purple to dull the red out. This also was still too bright so I decided to mix the red with a tiny bit of black to darken it up so certain parts will stand out. Also ensure it is brought down the next as I kept it on the jaw and realised it looked too fake.
Something that worries me about continuity and how easy it is to tell if it doesn't look the same and as a makeup artist you need it to look exactly the same. It can ruin a makeup artist if it isn't as you wont be taken seriously.

Products used;
Kryolan Supra Colour palette (red, yellow, black, purple)
