However I started by creating a bruised eye as its something I haven't really tried before and it surprisingly went well and could look somewhat believable.
Looking at the images there is room for improvement and I will think about how i could improve it whether thats adding more greens/yellows as naturally bruises can turn that colour.
When creating cuts, bruises or scars you need to think about what happened to have created this as you need to ensure its as realistic as possible. A way to ensure this it by taking images of the set and knowing what side needs to be bruised or cut as you don't want to make up the wrong side as it would make you look unprofessional.
When creating bruises as well it is important to make sure you don't
powder it as bruises are naturally shiny as it swells and stretches the skin causing it to become shiny. Also to add to the bruised eye you could use red eyeliner or eye drops to make the eye more bloodshot and red to create a more realistic look.
Also when adding the fake blood it is important to wait until the model is in position as you need to blood to fall in the right direction as if you were to add it whilst the model is standing it will fall naturally and won't look realistic or professional.
When creating the bruises I was worried that it wouldn't look realistic as the more colour the add the more fake it looks which is something I wanted to avoid. However with the reassurance from my model the bruise started to look better and more realistic. As it was my first time creating bruises I wasn't filled with confidence and need to practise more as its not one of my strengths as I enjoy and do better when creating more fashion/editorial makeup. With the cuts I need to practise again as I ran out of time to create it but I feel that what I did create did start of well and could have turned into something somewhat realistic.Products Used;
