My character would be seen as 'the innocent' archetype who they would feel sorry for as she seems to get caught up in Dorians lies and with all of his misbehaving which leads to her being broken hearted. Also her death is the turning point in which Dorian realises the painting is changing but he is not. My character would appeal mostly to the femaledemographic as she is the character you will feel sorry for as she is so innocent and should have gotten brought into Dorian's tale of lies and selfish decisions. My chosen character Sibyl stood out as she was the first person Dorian had fell for and its at the moment where he see's her for the first time he can't take his eyes off of her. She is important as she helps add the romance aspect to the book and I feel the audience would fall in love with the thought of them together and having a perfect life together but things don't exactly happen like that and it is her death that turns Dorian into a monster as he has lost the person that was keeping him sane and kind hearted.
